Imagery/Figurative Language

It would be disgraceful to mention imagery and not talk about all forms of literature; each form somehow contributes to imagery in order to portray mental images to the audience to paint a more vivid picture. Poems constantly refer to imagery, novels discuss images all the time, and so do every work of literature--it has to for the reader to create a more memorable image. So when discussing imagery, one cannot not discuss just topics without mentioning all forms of literature.
