Hamlet Intro

Characters are interesting enough as they are. However, Shakespeare creates even more dimension with his characters particularly through speech. The audience views Hamlet in many states of mental awareness: the sensitive and the insane. Via behavior and speech patterns, the audience can grasp what state of being Hamlet is currently possessed under and how his state of being plays into the overall plot. Sensitive Hamlet being a man still humane and deeply distraught speaks with critical wit taking into offense his rather implausible situation fate has put him through. Eventually Hamlet transforms--or rather creates a facade of mentally instability as a method of indistinguishable behavior allowing him to scheme.
