Conform

Conformity is the story of my life. I am constantly balancing the preservation of my Korean culture to my everyday American lifestyle. However, conformity is not necessarily a negative action. But one cannot dismiss his or her own individualism and simply conform. I attempt to maintain a healthy balance of rebellion and conformity in respect of how I uphold cultural ideologies and superstitions, yet abandon Korean conservatism. Of course, I am not the only one who experience such conformity, but conformity has no limits. Elders imposing their beliefs onto you to follow "guidelines" at a work space are all forms of conformity that everyone undergoes on a daily basis.
