Wes' Heart of Darkness

As discussed in class, the woman in the painting is like Lady Justice who brings light to the darkness. However as the lady has a torch in a dark location, the lady is also blindfolded impling that justice is blind making it unbias as a judge. The lady in the painting may not quite reflect Marlow's ideas as she does not have the impression of justice as Marlow has witnessed so far in the book.
